A new role for Priti Patel

We were delighted to hear that Priti has been offered a job in the recent  cabinet reshuffle under Theresa May’s leadership.

The new position involves Priti acting as her Majesty’s Principal Secretary of State for International Development, is the British cabinet minister responsible for the Department for International Development and for promoting development overseas, particularly in developing countries.

The post was created in 1997 when the Department for International Development was made independent of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

We would like to wish Priti the very best of luck in this new role.
