Charity of the Year 2017

Tyler’s Fund is our Charity of the Year. The annual partnership, which began in 1st January 2017, aims to raise as much money for the charity.

Tyler-James Claydon had a traumatic entrance into the world. He suffered from Meconium Aspiration Syndrome which resulted in his brain being starved of oxygen for nearly 15 minutes as the doctors had to suck all the meconium out of him. He also had no heartbeat for 7 minutes so the doctors and nurses had to work hard to get his heart pumping again. As a result of this he suffered a moderate brain injury called HIE Grade 2 (Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy) septicaemia, kidney failure and had to have lots of oxygen.

Money raised for Tyler’s Fund will help fund the therapy for Tree of Hope who offer hope to families to transform the lives of sick children.

Youth Chamber Charity

Southview School is our Youth Chamber Charity of the year. The annual partnership, which began in 1st January 2017, aims to raise as much money for the charity via the Youth Chamber Group.

The youth chamber will be supporting Southview School through various fundraising activities throughout the year.

Choosing our Charities

Witham Chamber of Commerce supports local charities whenever it can, and over the last two years, has supported Witham Town Luncheon Club. Our Chamber raises money throughout the year through various fundraising activities.

We still will help the Luncheon Club where we can and wish them all the success in their future fundraising.
